Photographs are equivalent to thousand words. By sharing any personal / private photograph can lead to disastrous consequences. Only share photographs with trusted contacts. Show photographs to your elders to be sure about if they can be made public. In these days, there are facial recognition systems available which lets people search for faces as well. Making photos public can let any third party locate the person.
Copyrights are an important concept to understand. Question yourself “The content you are sharing over Internet, are they your property”. If they aren’t then check for the Copyrights of the image, if the owner of the image has given permissions to Cite it / share it publicly.
